Chase McCarthy
Chancellor’s list
Chase is a former United States Marine who is currently a junior pursuing a bachelor degree in Computer Science. He has previously been awarded the Praeses Scholarship for science majors and has recently been awarded the Bowman Systems scholarship for computer science majors. Chase has shown outstanding dedication to his studies, earning a 4.0 GPA for each of the six semesters that he has attended LSUS. This achievement was honored recently when he was inducted into the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi, America’s oldest all-discipline honor society. Chase is interested in the fields of robotics, augmented reality, multi-touch displays, game design, and human computer interaction. Chase is currently designing and building a multi-touch display which he plans on utilizing as a platform for further software development.
